In search of a new experience, we set out on our journey to Minca, filled with expectations, lessons, and emotions.

How Minca Seasons Was Born:

Our story begins with the vision of Luis Miguel, who, after the pandemic, decided to build and open a new space that reflected his passion and dreams. This is how MINCA SEASONS was born, a business founded with dedication and effort, which soon established itself firmly in the market.

The project passed into our hands when Don Luis passed away in 2024. Wanting to honor his legacy while also continuing our own dream of building a company recognized for its excellence, commitment, and love for nature, we decided to add just one word to the original name: BIRDS.

That’s how MINCA SEASONS BIRDS was born, a name that symbolizes our love for birds and the life that surrounds us.

MINCA SEASONS BIRDS, a space created for bird lovers and for all those who wish to live a natural, sensory, and authentic experience in connection with life.

Building Our Dream
The reconstruction began with the remodeling of the rooms, prioritizing comfort, sustainability, and a design in harmony with the birds. Each of our five private rooms was created with rest in mind, while allowing guests to enjoy birdwatching at any moment of the day, though the most magical moments come at sunrise and sunset. All rooms feature terraces designed as personal observation stations, offering an intimate and constant connection with nature.

Opening Our Doors
In January 2025, Minca Seasons BIRDS opened its doors to welcome its first guests. In just six months, we have had the pleasure of hosting both national visitors and passionate birdwatchers from France, the Netherlands, England, Israel, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, and many other countries.

During their stay, our visitors documented a remarkable diversity of species present on our property, including the majestic toucans (Rhamphastos sulfuratus, Pteroglossus torquatus), the colorful motmot (Momotus subrufescens), the elegant gartered trogon (Trogon caligatus), and a wide variety of hummingbirds, such as the striking white-necked jacobin (Florisuga mellivora).

All of this is possible thanks to our privileged location in Minca, a charming village nestled in the majestic Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. The highest coastal mountain range in the world. A true paradise for nature lovers, hiking enthusiasts, river bathing in the crystalline waters of Pico Cristóbal Colón, and in-situ birdwatching.

Expanding Our Impact
Today, we are proud to be part of Minca, the renowned “Ecological Capital,” a destination that welcomes both national and international visitors.

Minca Seasons Birds is located in the heart of the environmental corridor that connects Tigrera (the lower part of Minca), passing through El Campano, and reaching the Cuchilla de San Lorenzo at 2,800 meters above sea level—where bird experts have recorded around 365 species.
